Kerajaan tidak akan keluar lesen judi sukan

Alhamdulillah. Dengan segala tentangan yang diberi maka kerajaan akur untuk tidak memberi lesen judi sukan. Yang ada sekarang ni pun (berlesen) tak terkawal (pergi la tengok kedai ekor, orang islam hampir sama ramai dengan bukan islam yang membeli nombor), apa lagi nak ditambah kategori judi.

KUALA LUMPUR: The government will not be issuing a sports betting licence to Ascot Sports Sdn Bhd, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak announced on Friday night.
The Prime Minister said although the government had in principal approved the licence, it decided not to proceed with it after taking into consideration the feedback from all layers of the community.
“The feedback clearly showed that the majority of the people disagreed that a betting licence should be issued.
“This was discussed at the (supreme council) meeting and the council supported the decision unanimously,” he told a press conference after chairing the meeting on Friday night.
Najib said Ascot Sdn Bhd had been informed of the decision.
“They accepted it,” he said, and added that since the approval was only in principal, any issue of compensation to the company did not arise as the Finance Ministry had the absolute right to withdraw its decision.
Najib also said the government was not too concerned about the economic impact resulting from the decision.
